The Amber Project is funded by Church Army. Our project works with young people between the ages of 14-25 who have experience of self-harm. Even today self-harm often remains a hidden problem with many young people believing that they are the only ones who cope in this way. Thus, all too often young people experience feelings of isolation and are reluctant to seek help.
Working effectively with this client group takes considerable time and resources. Every donation received by the project makes a very real difference in the life of a young person. Indeed the creation of this web-site is due to an anonymous donation, a gift which has enabled us to produce a much needed resource.
Church Army funds the Amber Project's vision to help to make effective support available to as many young people as possible. To find out more about Church Army visit www.churcharmy.org.uk
