What is self harm?
People can hurt themselves in all sorts of different ways and for all sorts of different reasons.
For some people their self-harm may involve physically injuring or hurting themselves, for others it might involve issues around food, while others may have issues in areas such as risk taking or lack of self-care.
Self-harm is often a way of coping with emotional pain or communicating distress.
Many people find it helpful to talk about their self-harm to someone who is non-judgemental and supportive.
The Amber Project is here to offer you support.
There are also a number of other helpful agencies - their details can be found on this website: Useful Organisations
