About me

I have been a children's missioner since my commissioning in 1991 working in various settings, mostly parish based at first but with the occasional mission. In 1995 after moving to Holy Cross Bearsted it soon became apparent that my gifts would be better used in the wider church.  I became a member of Archbishop George Carey's Mission team which led to lots more openings, and as the work increased I became a children's missioner for the Diocese of Canterbury, with 2/3 of my time in that role and 1/3 in the parish. This provided an opportunity to have a year out student with me, and after 4 years of this form of partnership it developed into the CA employing an assistant to enable the work to take on a new level of consistency. So after Hannah, Claire, Helen and then Sophie helped on their years out, I have had Emily and now Chrissie as my full time assistant.

We try our best to make sure that the young people and children we share with discover that following Jesus is exciting and wonderful, through all the different ministries we engage with.
