Evangelism to Post-Christian Culture

These are some of the questions we need to address if we are to be effective in evangelism within a post Christendom Britain.  Within the Sheffield centre Steve Hollinghurst has been pursuing research and training in this area since May 2003.

• Is Christianity relevant to contemporary culture?
• What are the contours of the Gospel in Postmodernity?
• Who is effectively connecting with people beyond the church's fringe and what can we learn from them?
• Is conversion appropriate in a pluralist society?
• Can evangelism be done without it being a power trip?
• What can we believe in the face of Post Modernism?
• How might Jesus Christ connect with spiritual searchers exploring New Age and Pagan ideas?
• How should the Church respond to emerging spiritualities?
• What might the shape of Christian mission be within the emerging cultures of a post-ChristianBritain?
