Andrew was one of the early writers for the Bananaman comic strip, back in 1982. He has since written eight books for children and teenagers, including I Wonder if Chocolate Kills Brain Cells, Oodles of Poodles, and two Desperate Dan books for Ladybird (read on tape by Blackadder's Tony Robinson). He has led a number of creative writing workshops throughout England, as well as intensive three-day courses with church planters in India. He lectures on Dr Who, film and popular media at the Wilson Carlile College of Evangelism.

Andrew has been a missionary in Denmark and Amsterdam and a Bible school student at Capernwray in Lancashire. He has led Pathfinders and Explorers groups in a number of churches, including three years at a church plant in Worthing, West Sussex.

Andrew Who?

He lives in Sheffield, along with his wife, Alison (also a Church Army officer), and children, Jade, Katie and Edward. He is part of an experimental worship service, called Haven, based on the Manor estate in Sheffield.

Oh, and he LOVES Dr Who. The man is practically the keeper of the faith.

I'm serious.
