Claire Dalpra

Claire joined The Sheffield Centre in 1999. For the first 6 years, she worked closely with George, assisting him in his research projects. Since then Claire has worked as a writer, consultant and editor in her own right as well as supporting other team members for particular projects.

Her individual research topics for Encounters on the Edge include:

No.17 Addicted to Planting?

No.31 Small Beginnings

No.37 & 38 Community double issue

No.44 Hidden Treasures

Claire is the team member to contact if you need advice on written resources or examples of good practice in fresh expressions of church and church planting. Often people find it helpful to know who else is working in a particular stream or type of fresh expressions of church context (ie rural, new monastic, workplace, caf etc.) and Claire can offer you a head start on the contacts our team are aware of. She is also the best person to ask about arranging sabbatical study in the field of ecclesiology and new forms of church.

University brought Claire to Sheffield and, while studying, she joined St Thomas Crookes and continued to serve on their worship leaders' team for 5 years. Prior to working for Church Army, Claire trained with St Thomas' Crookes in their year-out program then called "Tribal Training" (now called "Form").
