What ?
Join a new global gap year scheme that makes mission top priority and gives you the chance to learn and serve in the UK or internationally. You will be pushed to prove yourself and your commitment and be wholehearted for Jesus Christ.
God is pretty big, and through the Xplore programme you will both learn more about Him and experience more of Him. Living and working on the edge will help you develop intimacy with God, while you will also deepen your understanding of God and His Word.
The world is pretty big too, and you will live in a new part of it for six months. The experience of sharing in the lives of people from a different culture will be an adventure in itself. We will help you learn how to 'read' and 'interpret' a new culture, and experienced evangelists will be with you as you start to proclaim the good news in what will probably be a new and quite different way.
Xplore is very much about people and that means you. It is important that we have a good understanding of ourselves, what makes us behave the way we do, and what God thinks of us. Training, reflection and experience all combine to help us achieve this.
Why?
We need young people to get experience of making disciples in places where traditional church has failed- with the lost, the last and the least.
Who?
For young people aged 18-25 who want to be motivated, trained and equipped for modern mission and are prepared to set aside personal ambition, career success and financial security for the sake of the gospel.
Where?
For 14 weeks you will be trained and work at our project in Liverpool, (see www.trinity-church.org.uk and follow links to Kidz Klub & TNT) and will then live out what you've learned by spending up to 6 months with a frontline placement in either the
,
Kenya,
USA,
Canada,
Jamaica or
Australia. Placement availability fluctuates, and we obviously cannot guarantee a placement will be available in every country.
The final few weeks are spent back at the training base, de-briefing and planning for the future.
