October 2010

Sam Follett, a former Xplorer, has been elected as one of the youngest ever members to the General Synod of the Church of England.
After taking part in Xplore in 2008-09, Sam went on to be Church Army's CEO, Mark Russell's PA for a year, and is now studying Physics at Nottingham University.

Seven new people started Xplore on September 11th, along with new Programme Leader Neville Barnes.

This year's Xplore interns graduated with a ceremony in Sheffield.

Lizzie Wallace was announced as the new Programme Leader for Xplore in June 2009. To read the news story click .

The programme was officially launched in its new home, The Wilson Carlile Centre in Sheffield, on 2 November 2009 by Church Army's President, Archbishop Desmond Tutu. This will help us be part of the Church Army training centre there, with far greater resources in terms of trainers, mentors and facilities.
