Training and equipping Evangelists
We are looking for evangelists who want to work with people who have
little or no meaningful relationship with church. People with the drive, desire and ability to make the gospel of Jesus Christ known to others by sharing faith through words and action. People who are able to spot the opportunities and openings for the gospel that God provides and to respond to them creatively.
Evangelists are trained through a new four-year Mission-Based Training Programme in which the evangelist-in-training, based at a Centre of Mission, is apprenticed to an experienced evangelist who provides coaching and supervision. The evangelist-in-training will be closely involved in local mission and will have opportunities both to practice what they are learning and to feed their experience into their learning.
If you are between 18 and 25 year olds, why not join our Xplore gap year which makes evangelism a top priority? The programme starts with a six-week placement in Romania where you will work among some of the poorest people in Europe. On returning to the United Kingdom and Ireland, you will then be placed in a mission base. Alongside all of this you will receive teaching which helps you explore the Bible further and understand what it means to make disciples of Jesus.
