Centres of Mission

A Centre of Mission is where a lead evangelist, plus at least one other, are developing fruitful ministry with a commitment to communicating the gospel to those who have little or no meaningful relationship with church.

At the heart of the Centre of Mission is "mission" from which ministry forms to those people who do not know Jesus and as they come to faith to work towards creating fresh expressions of Christian community formed by these new disciples. This is the primary function of the Centre. The secondary function is to train future Church Army Evangelists through innovative and creative ways of training

These Centres of Mission include working with people in deprived housing estates in south east London and Southampton, red light districts in Northern England and a series of youth Churches called Sorted in Bradford.

Please take time to discover more about the pioneering work taking place in each of the Centres of Mission by exploring the links on the left. You can also find out how you can train with Church Army at a Centre of Mission. Neville Willerton
