Headmaster Joins Church Army Promotions Team
For eight years headmaster of Holcombe Rogus C of E Primary School and latterly with the University of Plymouth Information and Learning Services, Paul Curtis (48) has joined the Promotions and Fundraising Team of Church Army. Paul admits: "I was not particularly looking for a change but the job actually found me! I am now hoping to increase prayer and support for Church Army in the south-west."
Paul's parents were active with the Caravan Mission to Village Children and, as a child, Paul lived with them on a huge and cumbersome four-wheeled caravan which had to be towed by a cattle truck. He is now married to Linda, who teaches at Southbrook School in Exeter and their son, Jonathan is currently taking "A" levels at Exeter College.
As well as enjoying gardening, walking and DIY, Paul is treasurer to the Keynote Trust which promotes music and worship in Anglican churches, and has been senior sidesman at St Andrew's, Cullompton for 20 years. After studying design at St Luke's College, College, he operated a retail clothing business around residential homes in the south-west and then became a primary school teacher for ten years before becoming headmaster.
