Australian Marketer Appointed Church Army’s New Head of Fundraising
Church Army has appointed Australian Rosemary Cottrell as its new Head of Fundraising. She will start in June with the immediate priority of developing Church Armys fundraising strategy and heading up a new fundraising team following a recent re-structuring of the fundraising function. Church Army currently raises around £3million annually to support its activities.
Cottrell, who is currently Head of Marketing with the charity St Dunstans has previously worked as National Membership Marketing Manager for the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a strong sales and marketing background across the commercial and charity sector.
Commenting on her appointment Ms Cottrell said: Church Army has a fantastic reputation for the quality of the work it does at the cutting edge of mission and evangelism in the UK and Ireland, and I am looking forward to growing strong financial support for the work of the Church Army through committed individual donors and parishes throughout the UK and build on the work already started by the new team.

Australian born, Cottrell is based in Clapham, London and is active in her local church, Holy Trinity Brompton. She worked with St Dunstans on a number of key projects including
campaign development and online marketing with success in increasing giving through their Annual Appeal.
