Church Army Nightclub Chaplain features on BBC3 TV

Church Army Sister Diana Greenfield’s work as a nightclub chaplain featured on BBC3 TVs programme “How weird are you?” which lifts the lid on 25-34 year olds, as part of a major nationwide survey into culture and lifestyle.

In the recently broadcast feature, Diana was seen at work in the Bournemouth nightclub scene getting alongside young people where they are. Diana made clear her mission by telling the interviewer: “I believe I am where God has called me to be, so I can minister to people in the place where they are.”

Since the film was made Diana has moved to the Maidstone nightclub scene, but there is no let up in her mission and heart for God. The programme showed that around 25% of all 25-34 year olds enjoy clubbing, and of this generation around 59% do not associate themselves with any religion. Of those who do describe themselves as belonging to a faith or region, around 49% never attend church or a religious service.

Diana comments: “Some of my friends think I am paid to party and it’s true. I am high on life, I love life and that’s never going to change because of my personal relationship with Jesus and my ministry to show His love to young people through my work in the club scene.”
