USA National Director inspired by work of Church Army in the UK

The National Director Church Army USA , Steve Brightwell, has flown in for a fact finding tour of Church Army projects based in the UK and Ireland and has been bowled over by how lives and communities are being transformed by the work of the UK’s leading home mission agency.

Steve, 49, based in Pittsburgh, has headed up Church Army USA for 12 years has been “inspired and encouraged” by the range and quality of the work Church Army has been delivering on the ground across the UK and Ireland. After running a motivational event on fundraising with Church Army Evangelists, Steve’s whistle-stop tour took in projects based in Belfast, Liverpool and Manchester.

Steve comments; “I have had the privilege of meeting over 30 Church Army evangelists who are doing extraordinary work at the cutting edge of evangelism. Church Army UK has some fantastic vision driven evangelists who are willing to do whatever it takes to reach people who have no purpose or hope with the good news of Jesus Christ. The work of projects such as Gospel Rocky, Kidz Klub, Streetreach and Santus 1 are highly regarded in the ‘states and it is great to see these at first hand”

Church Army’s Chief Secretary Captain Philip Johanson adds; “I am delighted that Steve has come over from the USA to see for himself some of the work that we are doing, and to share his experience of fundraising and spreading the gospel of Christ to the least, the last and the lost. Both Church Army USA and Church Army UKhave gained a great deal from this fact finding mission.”
