Pampering and chocolate parties as Activate’s Fiona Castle backs Get OUT More

 

Fiona Castle, Chairman of Activate, an organisation focussed on helping to encourage evangelism in the real world, has backed Church Army’s theme for this year’s Church Army Sunday on 25th September.

Fiona comments; “ I'm thrilled to support Church Army’s Sunday’s theme of Get OUT More. At Activate, we try to suggest ways in which Christians can invite friends, neighbours and work colleagues to spend time with them, so that they can enjoy building those relationships and drawing closer to people, which will eventually bring opportunities to share appropriately about God's love in a very natural way. I pray you will prove the reality of this as you launch out with new initiatives and ideas in September.”

In a new partnership with Church Army aimed at highlighting just how important it is for Christians to participate in evangelism in the everyday, Activate have provided a number of action ideas available as FREE downloads from the Church Army site, to download.

The action sheets are taken from Activate’s resource bank and are aimed at being low key and informal. Examples of what is covered include how to set up chocolate parties- including a mouth watering idea for chocolate fondue parties. Other ideas include pamper parties; reading groups and food: glorious food which uses a “ready steady cook” approach for ideas to share faith.

David Coleman, Church Army’s Communications Manager comments: “ When we devised the Get OUT More theme for Church Army Sunday, we hoped for as wide a range of resources as possible to help equip churches and Christians with ideas, and I am delighted that Activate have partnered with us in this.
