word-on-the-web gives users a say in future development

WORDONTHEWEBLOGO_small Word on the Web, Church Army's internet and e-mailed based ministry, has today launched a survey to solicit the views of its users about future direction. Running since 1999, the site has now built a community of 8800 registered users based in over 100 countries and project Co-ordinator Ruth Walker, who has been involved with Word on the Web from the very beginning is keen to ensure it's users have a say in how the project should develop. Ruth comments: "It's right that after seven years we take a fresh look at the site to ensure we are still meeting the needs of our users, and explore new services that will be popular and relevant."

Word on the Web is the only e-mail based bible study programme that aims to take subscribers through every book of the Bible - offering a brief passage, short commentary and application to everyday life and a prayer 365 days a year. The site hosts writers from Christian organizations and bands as diverse as Church Army, YWAM, Salvation Army, Oasis, Activate, Y-Friday and Delirious?

As an extra incentive, prizes are offered for the first three names drawn out of the hat from those completing the survey on-line by 20th March 2006. Word on the Web aims to publish its survey results on 26th May 2006 and develop a revamped site by the beginning of 2007.
