29 August 2006

Shareit! 24 Front CoverWriting in the latest issue of ShareIt! - Church Army's supporter magazine, Philip Johanson (Church Army's Chief Secretary) says: "Jesus brought change to the lives of countless people, as he still does today. He gives new life, hope, direction and purpose to all who trust in him. You will read about several such people in this edition of ShareIt!

"Wilson Carlile, the founder of Church Army experienced a dramatic change in his life when he encountered the living Christ during an illness, and as he said later, God used that time to bring him closer to himself.

"Carlile went on to make history in establishing Church Army and we will celebrate 125 years of the work next year. In the early years of Church Army work, Carlile was invited to send people from the UK to lead missions in other parts of the world, and today we are at work in more than 14 different countries, each with its own leadership and local people."
