Church Army’s Mark Russell to speak at Jesus Centred Ministry event
11 Oct 2006
Church Army's New Chief Executive Designate, Mark Russell, is one of the key speakers at the forthcoming Jesus Centred Ministry conference taking place on Tuesday 28 November 2006. The event, organised by
Premier Christian Radio, and supported by Church Army,
Evangelical Alliance,
Peace Alliance,
Care for the Family, Arise Ministries, and
Prospects, will examine the model of Jesus' ministries in today's churches and ministries.
The one day event will tackle key issues such as the churches relationship with government, firmly establishing children in the faith, how the church can reach beyond its walls into community, how those with learning disabilities can thrive within our churches, how the church should help those with mental health problems and the responsibility for the church to work in the justice system.
Mark Russell, Church Army's youngest Chief Executive, who is passionate about transforming society with the gospel of Jesus Christ, will be leading a session On the streets. Mark comments, "Church Army gets to present the Jesus of the Bible, bold, exciting, radical, and let him speak for himself. We are about helping the church to reinvent itself in a new generation, to be more real, relevant, radical, dangerous, and I hope more fun!"
