Church Army launches free Christmas resources

3 November 2006

Posada Banner ImageChurch Army has launched a series of radio adverts to encourage people to make room for Jesus this Christmas. The adverts being aired on Premier Christian Radio, promotes Church Army's Christmas initiative POSADA, a Mexican tradition where nativity figures of Mary and Joseph travel from house to house to remind people of the reason for the season. There are a range of free POSADA resources from Church Army to help people who want to reach out into their community with the good news of the gospel.

"We hear a lot about getting back to the true meaning of Christmas, but not that much about resourcing families or communities to do just that," states David Coleman, Church Army's Communications Manager. "POSADA is free, fun and helps you to reach out to your community with the real message of Christmas in a non-threatening way."

To take part in POSADA, all you need to do is to download the FREE pack from Church Army at www.churcharmy.org.uk/posada and start to encourage your friends, family, school or work mates to provide a home for Mary and Joseph each night in the lead up to Christmas - they sign up to a journey rota, you provide the nativity figures and off you go. Plus there is a £20 gift voucher for the person that sends in a photo of the most unique place that Mary and Joseph visit as part of POSADA in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The POSADA adverts are being aired on Premier Christian Radio throughout November and December.

To listen to the adverts, for more information on POSADA, or to download a range of FREE materials to help you make room for Jesus this Christmas, visit  www.churcharmy.org.uk/posada
