Interviewed by Premier's Cindy Kent, Mark calls for the church to get excited about catching a fresh vision for mission to reach out beyond church walls. "Some people are scared by this prospect, but I am not and Church Army is not. We're excited by it and up for it," adds Church Army's youngest ever Chief Executive. Mark's focus in the interview is on those who are on the edge, misjudged and vulnerable.
Mark continues, "Church Army is working hard to find new ways to reach people with the gospel to transform lives. Our work has vision excitement and relevance".
Mark was a popular speaker at the recent Jesus Centred Ministry Conference in London where he outlined the work Church Army is doing in the name of Jesus in reaching out to people who have little or no meaningful contact with church. Many of these examples can be found in the latest Church Army Annual Report Reaching People Where They Are.
Premier TV is a new internet television station. It requires broadband and is free to access. There are over 500 programmes available on demand including this interview with Mark Russell.
