Jesus-centred mission is at the heart of latest Shareit! Magazine
3 May 2007
Writing in the latest issue of
ShareIt! - Church Army's supporter magazine, Mark Russell (Church Army's Chief Executive) says: "I am excited to be part of a Society which has at its centre a passion and zeal to make the Christian faith come alive to those who would never ordinarily enter a church building. Church Army has in its very DNA a commitment to reach the least, the last and the lost with the transforming Good News of Jesus Christ.
"2007 is the 125th anniversary of the founding of Church Army... In this 125th year we look back and celebrate our legacy, and we take time to look forward. What is the new horizon for us to look to today? What new thing is God calling us to? How can we make Church Army better shaped for the 21st century? How can Church Army play its part in helping renew our Church and transform our nation? To help us answer these questions and many others, please join me in looking to Jesus, as the writer to Hebrews reminds us, "the author and perfecter of our faith", and catch His vision and inspiration, as we continue to seek to present the changeless message of a changeless Christ, to a fast changing culture."
The magazine, which goes out to individual supporters and parishes, reminds supporters that Jesus is at the heart of Church Army's work and shares different stories of how evangelists in the mission field are sharing their faith through words and action.
This edition of ShareIt! is packed with lots of exciting stories about the work of Church Army, equipping readers with real life stories to help with mission and evangelism.
