The 11th National Anglican Church Planting Conference

17 August 2007

The popular National Anglican Church Planting conference is back after three years of hiatus. The event, which aims to give maximum opportunity to network and interact, will take place on October 4, at St Mary’s Crawford St. London and on October 10, at St Thomas’ Philadelphia, Sheffield at 9.45am-4pm. Promising to be a place of encouragement and inspiration to church planters, this year’s conference is a timely opportunity to explore further the direction the church is heading in.

There will be two events, one for the north, one for the south. It’s a day to come to be refreshed, challenged, encouraged and supported, and to meet others involved in the same work. The day will consist of short talks and discussions in the morning followed by a sandwich lunch. After lunch an experiential session on learning networks, and ending with a final session including an opportunity to respond to God.

Mark Russell, Chief Executive of Church Army, says “The success of this conference over the last 20 years is that Church planting and fresh expressions are not recognised as central to our mission. I believe the church is at a real kairos moment, and this conference comes at a key time to enthuse and excite us to keep on with the task if creating relevant Christian communities. I am delighted to endorse this important conference, and encourage you to attend.”

The cost is £25 per person (which includes lunch), with a reduced rate if £15 for additional bookings. For further information contact Laurence Keith on 0114 272 7451 or ask@sheffieldcentre.org.uk
