Nicky Gumbel interviews Mark Russell
Today Church Army posted a new video on
YouTube, the popular video-sharing website, featuring HTB’s Nicky Gumbel and Church Army’s Chief Executive
Mark Russell.
It is the latest in a series of YouTube posts from the 125 year old home mission agency.
In the interview, Mark talks about his work as a Youth Leader in Northern Ireland, and his contribution to the peace process in 1997, sharing inspiring stories from that time in his life. Russell talks about his belief in the healing power of hope "I've always believed that with the Christian Gospel, if it's about nothing else, it's about hope."
The video, which you can find at www.youtube.com/churcharmy, ends with the story of Matthew, a homeless 21 year old who has lived on the streets of London for the past three years who makes a plea for the church to 'bring people hope'.
