Chief mark russell xplore editExecutive Mark Russell spent a day in Liverpool with XPLORE, the gang who a re the first cohort of Church Army's new Global Gap Year. There four young people, one from each nations in UK shared there experience with Mark about the start of the gap year programme.

These volunteers joined a new global gap year scheme that makes mission top priority and give them the chance to learn and serve in the UK and overseas and prove their commitment to Jesus Christ; a chance to learn about Him and experience more of Him.

Mark Russell comments "I am excited about these four young people; they have such energy, passion, enthusiasm and zeal for God and for people. I was so excited to see the vision they have to use their lives to lead others to Christ."

These young people have a year of exploring Jesus Christ. In the last three months has been spent in Liverpool, training, and preparing in the context of Kids Klub, a radical children's ministry, http://www.kidzklub.org.uk/. After that they will spend the next 6 monthswith a frontline placement in either, Canada, Africa, Australia or the Caribbean, working alongside Church Army personnel. Then at the end of that, there is a few weeks back in Liverpool to reflect on the experience and see where God is leading for the next steps.

This programme has proven to be a success in such a short time. To learn more about XPLORE, and to get some more info on the 2008 entry, please check the website http://www.xploreglobal.org.uk/ or click HERE and contact Phil Clark.
