We are poorer for the loss of Rob Frost says Mark Russell

12th November 2007

Rob FrostChurch Army Chief Executive Mark Russell has called for prayers for the family and friends of Rob Frost, the founder of director of Share Jesus International who died yesterday following a battle with cancer. Writing on his blog Mark Russell comments; " I was devastated to learn of Rob Frost's passing last night. Rob was quite simply an amazing and remarkable man. A gifted preacher, a passionate evangelist, and an inspirational mentor. Rob made a colossal contribution to challenging the Church to become more radical and bold. I first met Rob at a young preacher's conference in Torquay in 2001, and he was my mentor for that conference. He inspired me, and gave me so much advice, wisdom and counsel.... I always loved to be with him, his gentle humble manner, his dry wit, and the ability to "cut to the chase" when it mattered. We are the poorer for Rob's passing, but after years as an Evangelist talking about hope, Rob now knows the reality of that hope. Rob is with his Lord in Glory, and we give thanks to God for a remarkable man, we give thanks for the imprint he made on our lives, and we pray for Jacqui, Andy and Chris at this tough time."
