Barnabas RE days available to Kent Schools through Graham Nunn
20 June 2008
From 1 September Church Army's Graham Nunn will be joining the Barnabas freelance children's team and will be available on Mondays and Tuesdays to deliver Barnabas RE Days in primary schools in Kent.
Graham is the Children's Missioner in the diocese of Canterbury and brings his wide experience of working in churches and schools to the Barnabas team.
BRF's Chief Executive Richard Fisher says "We are delighted that Graham is going to be part of our Barnabas children's team. We have long admired his work with children both in schools and churches and he brings to Barnabas a wide range of gifts and experience. We're looking forward to working together to make our Barnabas creative arts RE days and other resources more accessible to primary schools throughout Kent."
Barnabas RE Days offer a full day's programme to schools to explore Christianity creatively with primary-aged children through storytelling, drama, dance or music, according to the skills of the professional Barnabas team member.
Each day provides a flexible, enjoyable and educational experience, which will unpack stories and themes from the Bible alongside contemporary life illustrations. Follow-up material is also available for classroom extension work after the RE Day.
