Brimming with hope as we share the love of Jesus

10 March 2009

Church Army's Kofo Baptist writes in this month's Inspire Magazine about Jesus' great promise to the whole world, in an article entitled 'Brimming with hope'.

The article focuses on John 10:10, and explains what 'life to the full' can mean for all of us: "Jesus tells us that in the midst of whatever we have to face, He is there to give us life to the full. The life He talks about is not a promise of physical wealth and riches, a ticket to fame or a bullet-proof guarantee that there will be no more trials and tribulations. The life He talks about is a life in Him; one that delights in light, love, hope, freedom, knowledge and understanding. He talks about a relationship, a friendship, a kinship, a bond, and He reminds us of the importance of living a life that is rich in all things to do with God."

Church Army's Life to the Full appeal is asking people to consider praying for its Evangelists, and supporting them financially. Their lives are dedicated to sharing the Gospel in everyday situations, helping people to discover just what it means to follow Jesus - and enjoy 'life to the full'. LouiseYaull-lent08

Two such Evangelists are highlighted in the article: Tim Hyde, at the sprawling Weston Estate Lighthouse Project in Southampton, and Louise Yaull  (pictured) ministering in a GP's surgery in Sheffield.

Both Evangelists are in the middle of communities in desperate need of hope, life and love. They stand where Jesus would, offering the same 'life to the full' which He brought to the world two thousand years ago.
