Summer's here and so is Church Army!

9 July 2009

Church Army Evangelists will be promoting their work at three major events this summer: New Wine Ireland (12-17 July); Soul Survivor (12-21 August) and Greenbelt (28-31 August).

Evangelists will be hosting seminars at Greenbelt, highlighting how they take the strapline of "faith words action" and apply it in their communities, transforming lives through the Gospel in the process.

RobBarker-lent08Church Army is an Associate Member of Greenbelt this year, and is using Rob Barker's Bus (aka 'the Chester Bus project') as the venue for these seminars. Rob - pictured here - will be hosting a seminar, along with Richard Waller, Jonathan Wiggam, Andrew Wooding and Paul Little.

Paul Little will also be helping to staff Church Army's stand at Soul Survivor, where Chief Executive Mark Russell will be speaking on several occasions about the work of the Society.

Communications Officer, Richard Chambers says: "We really want to reach out to the thousands of people who attend these events. Church Army Evangelists are making the difference in many neighbourhoods throughout the UK and Ireland, and we want to promote that work whilst taking this great opportunity to speak face-to-face with festival-goers about the love of Jesus."

The new microsite Make Jesus Famous will be one of the projects that Evangelists and volunteers will be offering at the festivals. This site offers Christians the chance to sign up and tell each other how they already Make Jesus Famous (or intend to) where they live. It is envisaged that this will build an ever-growing evangelism resource that will provide inspiration for anyone searching for ideas on sharing faith.
