Church Army appoints CEA co-ordinator

News Release: 26 February 2010

Peter Graystone In September of last year Church Army announced "a major strategic and managerial" partnership with the Christian Enquiry Agency (CEA).

As of this month, Church Army's National Development Officer for Fresh Expressions, Peter Graystone, will be seconded part time to lead in the development of the www.christianity.org.uk website, and the other work with enquirers.

Well known in Christian and publishing communities for his creativity, writing skills and ability to communicate the Gospel in relevant ways, Peter is an ideal choice for the post. His most recent book is called "Be Happy - a 40 day journey to contentment."

Peter says: "Someone wrote to the Christian Enquiry Agency recently thanking them for playing ‘a major part in me becoming a Christian - thank you for … providing information and inspiration in times of need and hopelessness.’ It is going to be a privilege to work with a terrific organisation that enables people to wake up to the vast love that God has for them. I hope I can re-imagine CEA so that even more people can find even more help. My prayer is that men and women will be glad to be alive as a result what is beginning this month.

The CEA website operates on behalf of all the major churches and mission agencies as a central point of contact for people to explore Christian faith. The CEA Council and Trustees will continue to lead the Agency and ensure its broad denominational basis is protected and maintained.

Peter will also work with the Enquiry Office team at Deo Gloria Trust in South Croydon to increase the response mechanisms in line with the ongoing developments.
