We are excited about the prospect of hiring as many local people as possible and working in the UK’s greenest city. With its international reputation for innovation and quality Sheffield provides the best possible location for consolidating our work. We also look forward to inviting local folks to come and take a look at what we are doing once we are up and running.”

Joanna Holland, Investment Manager for Creative Sheffield, added: “We are delighted that Church Army is not only investing substantially in the city, but is making Sheffield its permanent home. Sheffield is not only a central UK base for the organisation to effectively carry out its good work, but also offers a great quality of life for the new and existing Church Army employees.

Church Army has had a base in Sheffield since the building was opened by HRH Princess Margaret in 1992. Last November Archbishop Desmond Tutu launched Church Army's Xplore global gap-year programme in Sheffield.
