Welcome to the Amber Project Website
The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm.
Please feel free to look around, and if you have any questions or think that we might be able to help, please do contact us. We are available Monday - Friday, 9:30-5:30 . Unfortunately the current Coronavirus outbreak has had a huge impact on our services. We are now able to take new referrals and are offering a range of support.
Covid-19 urgent up-date
Due to the increase in cases, we are continuing to work remotely for at least the next few weeks. We are still taking referrals but initial meetings will not be face to face.
If you currently access the project or have done in the past and you need additional support please do get in touch.
Our usual working hours are:
Caryl and Stacey 9:00-5:00;
Caryl: 07905 905 437
Stacey: 07450 069 022
Beth and Minnie will continue to work on a part time basis;
Beth: 07817 027 123
Minnie: 07719 560 180
If you need support outside of these hours, please contact either your GP Out of Hours Service or:
Childline: 0800 1111
Papyrus hopelineuk: 0800 068 4141
(10:00am -10pm weekdays, 2:00 - 10pm weekends and bank holidays).
The wellbeing of the children and young people who access 'Amber' is paramount, and we ask
that you bear with us at this difficult time.
We are now taking new referrals. Please be patient if you have been referred or made a referral to the project and haven't heard from us, as we are extremely busy.
All workshops are now running (via Zoom). See What's On this week
Times for the guitar groups have changed! The early group now meets at 4.30 - 5.15 and the later one 5.45 - 6.30.
If you have accessed a group in the past and would like to join again, then get in touch :-)
The project is extremely grateful to the funders who are enabling us to develop new ways of working at this difficult time. Take a look at our News
page for more information about these groups.
